Rachael is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
Rachael has previously worked with adolescents and adults with numerous presenting issues, using a variety of techniques (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness) to ensure that treatment is tailored to each of her clients.
More recently, Rachael has moved to conducting cognitive, and psychoeducational, assessments with a variety of standardised assessment tools, such as the Weschler
Intelligence Scale for Children-Fifth Edition (WISC-V), Weschler Individual Achievement Test-Third Edition (WIAT-III), and the Conners-Third Edition. These standardised tools allow for assessment of intellectual/cognitive functioning, academic skills, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Rachael also provides ADHD assessments for Adults who suspect they may have the symptoms but have never been formally tested or diagnosed.
Rachael demonstrates a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach with her clients, and works collaboratively with both the client, and their family, to empower and support them to understand the outcome of an assessment.
Rachael is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays at Beaconsfield (including evenings) and is available to take on new clients for assessments.
